Launching the 2024 Hertford Calendar

During the summer, the public submitted their photographs of Hertford in a competition to be included in the calendar. Over 80 people entered 109 images for the competition.

The judging panel, made up of the Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Vicky Smith, Chair of the Development and Leisure Committee, Cllr Ann Woodward and Hertford based designer and photographer Paul Crowley, had the challenging task of selecting 13 photographs for the cover and each month. This year’s calendar is A3 sized and printed on environmentally friendly, recycled paper.

A launch event took place at Hertford Castle on Sunday 29th October where the lucky winners were awarded a copy of the calendar and a certificate, signed and presented by the Mayor.

The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Vicky Smith said: “We were overwhelmed with the quality of the entries this year. Hertford is such a picturesque place to live, and all the photographs capture some of the special aspects of our beautiful town. Thank you so much to everyone who took part.”

The Official Hertford 2024 Calendar is available to buy at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre for £12.50 each. The calendar can also be purchased via the Hertford Town Council online shop at https://www.hertfordtownshop.co.uk
