Hertford Food & Drink Festival

Hertford Town Council is hosting its annual Food and Drink Festival throughout the county town on the weekend of Saturday 6th July and Sunday 7th July.

The event kicks off on Saturday 6th July in the Town Centre with promotions and special offers from many of the town centre businesses.

Leaf Café have free cake samples on Saturday 6th July, Tilly’s Gelato will have a ‘guess the flavour’ competition with free samples of the mystery gelato, and various stores will be offering on-the-day promotions and discounts for people who have scanned the “I’m a Foodie” QR code to get their ‘virtual stamp’ via https://www.hertford.gov.uk/events-listings/hertford-food-and-drink-festival-4/ and on posters around the town.

Participating businesses will display the 'I'm a Foodie' poster in their window. Our thanks to McMullens for their kind sponsorship of the “I’m a Foodie” initiative.

On Sunday 7th July, 12 noon – 6.00pm, visitors are invited to attend the hugely popular Hertford Castle Beer & World Food Festival to enjoy an afternoon filled with worldly tastes and live music. With an extensive beer tent offering a variety of local and national beers, ales and ciders and several world food stalls, there is something for everyone to sample and enjoy. The Castle will also be open until 4.00pm for the public to explore, free of charge.

Entry to the event is FREE! Visitors are welcome to donate to the Mayor of Hertford’s Appeal Fund, which this year is supporting Hertford and District Guides and Citizens Advice East Herts. The Food and Drink Festival programme will be available at www.hertford.gov.uk/events.

A Hertford Town Council Officer commented: "Hertford Town Council is delighted to host this event where there will be a warm welcome for everyone. We hope residents and visitors alike will enjoy a fun day out and make the most of the opportunity to buy some local produce and try some delicious food and drink from around the world.”
