On Monday 15th October 2018, Hertford Town Council’s Finance, Policy and Administration Committee awarded grants totalling £31,700 to three Hertford-based organisations and good causes.

HERTFORD TOWN COUNCIL AWARDS
COMMUNITY & NEW HOMES BONUS GRANTS
On Monday 15th October 2018, Hertford Town Council’s Finance, Policy and Administration Committee awarded grants totalling £31,700 to three Hertford-based organisations and good causes.
Presdales School Academy Trust were awarded a New Homes Bonus Grant of £30,000 to assist with the necessary work to obtain planning permission for the building of an all- weather synthetic sports pitch suitable for hockey and other sports.
Ella Wansell was awarded a Community Grant for £500 to support her goal of becoming a GB Senior Athlete.
East Herts Citizens Advice Service were awarded a Community Grant of £1200 towards the cost of five new computers and three laptops.
Available Grants from Hertford Town Council
Community Grants
Funding of up to £1200 can be awarded under this scheme for a range of purposes, including public events, projects being undertaken by local voluntary organisations and endeavours by individuals which show a clear benefit to Hertford residents.
New Homes Bonus Grants
Grants of up to £30,000 are available from the New Homes Bonus fund for ambitious projects to enhance and improve communities in Hertford. Available funding will be used to support and encourage a diverse range of improvement schemes and projects across all age ranges, a wide range of interests and wherever possible innovative initiatives to meet the needs of Hertford Residents and businesses.
Applications are considered quarterly at the meetings of the Finance, Policy and Administration Committee. Deadlines for receipt of applications are 10th December 2018 and 11th February 2019.
