Rachel Chaplin presents the launch of her debut album Music from an Inner Space, a collection of sacred songs for vocals, piano, strings and trumpet.

She is joined by contemporary singer Evi Dobner, whose ethereal voice has been the inspiration for many of her songs.

Rachel performs in top concert halls and venues around the world as an oboist, including in Carnegie Hall, at the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall and recently in Westminster Abbey for the Coronation of King Charles III. Music from an Inner Space has been her private passion project, written in between her schedule of performing. For this special launch concert, Rachel performs on the piano and leads a group of outstanding instrumentalists.

The evening will begin with a support set from solo violinist and singer Flora Curzon, whose ambient and intimate music draws on classical and folk violin styles, traditional songs, and improvised vocals and electronics. Her solo EP Hold Still Liminal was released in February 2023.

Expect an evening of beauty and stillness, away from the bustle of everyday life, in the gorgeous surrounds of St Andrew’s Church. A licensed bar selling wine and soft drinks will be available before the concert (doors open at 6.30pm) and at the interval.
