Pioneer Hall / Zoo Café in detail…

The Pioneer Hall, aka the Zoo Café, Ware Road, Hertford is owned by the Hertford Youth Trust whose constitution dedicates the use of the Hall for young people.

The role of the Trust is to run and maintain the Hall to a standard fit for youth work and to meet running costs. For many years, since 1964, we have been able to run these free sessions for young people, as other groups have used the Hall at a cost. Recently our reserve funds have dwindled and we are appealing for any local group to hire our Hall on a regular basis or as a one off event to boost our reserves. Just 2 regular groups renting the Hall weekly at a competitive rate could ensure we continue to flourish.

The Hall is medium sized with a wooden floor and most suitable for small keep fit groups, yoga, Tai Chi, dance groups etc. If you know of anyone who would like to use the Hall please contact our lettings secretary Alan Hawley via our ‘Contact Us’ link at www.zoohyt.org.uk

We would also welcome volunteers to help us run and maintain the Hall. The commitment required would be attendance at about 10 meetings per year, with occasional extra help with tasks. Please contact us via our ‘Contact Us’ link at www.zoohyt.org.uk
