
The Mayor of Hertford’s Appeal Fund raises £2,334.95 for two local charities: Mudlarks and Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust
Hertford Town Council is delighted to announce that the Mayor’s Charity Quiz 2024 has raised £2,334.95 for two local charities.
On Friday 5th January, around 160 people attended the first event of 2024 – the annual Mayor of Hertford Charity Quiz.
This year’s event, held at Simon Balle School was compiled and hosted by David Stainer and Katie Bramall-Stainer (who are both Only Connect champions and have appeared on numerous quiz shows including Countdown, 15 to 1, Who wants to be a Millionaire and Eggheads).
The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Vicky Smith said: “I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to making this event a huge success. The council staff and our wonderful quiz team Katie, David and Toby all contributed. Congratulations to the winning team and thanks to all our attendees for making it such a fun evening."
