Hertford's first bra bank is now open

The Hertford Town & Tourist Information Centre now has a bra bank where you can deposit your used, new or surplus bras while raising funds for cancer research.

Hertford Town Council's Town & Tourist Information Centre has taken delivery of the town's first bra bank.

The initiative - from the Against Breast Cancer charity - takes your unwanted or unloved bras and raises vital funds for pioneering breast cancer research, and prevents them from going to landfill before giving them a new lease of life.

Successful ventures like this provide employment and an income for people living in the UK. Any bras that are genuinely beyond redemption are dismantled and disposed of properly.

For every ton of bras collected, Against Breast Cancer receives £700 to fund their research. With over 30 million women in the UK you could really help make a difference!

The Town & Tourist Information Centre is open 9:30am - 5pm, Tuesday - Saturdays, at 10 - 12 The Wash, opposite BEAM.
