Come and see the winning entries of the Mayor's writing competition

As part of the Mayor’s Writing Competition, almost 80 entries from children, aged from 7 years, to adults were received. The theme was ‘Hertford’s Magical Rivers’.

Congratulations to Amy McNab (aged 8), Joe Dixon (aged 13), Ashton Read (aged 16) and Jenny Mant who achieved first place in their age categories.

The Mayor of Hertford's Writing Competition was open to entries from 3rd December 2024 - 7th February 2025 following which the very worthy winners were announced and invited to read at the Mayor's Cherish Hertford event on 23rd February 2025.

The display is available to visit at the Hertford Town & Tourist Information Centre on The Wash, opposite BEAM. Opening hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30 – 5pm.
