Eco Fest
Eco Fest aims to raise awareness of the small changes we can all make to reduce our carbon footprint and save money.
Further Information…
This FREE event will be held at Hertford Castle on Sunday 11th May from 12 noon till 4.00pm, as part of a wider programme of Hertford town-wide sustainability events: Hertford Eco Fest Listings.
On the 11th May at the Castle, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of fun activities including garden games and junk modelling. Visitors can also pedal to make their own smoothie or test ride an e-bike from Highway Cycles. Plus, there will be live entertainment to be enjoyed and food and drink and craft stalls to browse, which will feature alongside information and education around money saving ideas and carbon reduction suggestions.
Alongside the event, BEAM will be showing OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH at 2pm, which takes viewers on a breath taking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean! This screening will be followed by a talk from Prof. Viv Jones, Emeritus Professor of Environmental Change at UCL, examining the success of recent monitoring and restoration efforts on the River Beane, a local but globally rare chalk stream.
