HertsLynx Service Expanding
HertsLynx is now going to cover Hertford.
HertsLynx, the on-demand bus service that has been serving residents in east and north Hertfordshire since September 2021, is expanding. It will now cover villages such as Colliers End, Tonwell and Wareside as well as towns such as Hertford and Ware, linking them into the existing service area.
HertsLynx offers a flexible way to travel; unlike traditional bus services, it doesn’t follow a timetable or have any set routes, instead passengers can choose from a wide variety of pick up and drop off locations within designated operating zones.
Passengers can select where and when they would like to travel by using the HertsLynx app, booking website or by calling the HertsLynx team on 01992 555513.
The service, which recently carried out its 50,000th trip, is designed to improve connections between rural villages and larger town centres.
HertsLynx East & North fares are part of the Bus Fare Cap Grant, funded by the Department for Transport, all single fares on the HertsLynx service will be capped at £2.00 until 31st December 2024.
