Have Your Say on the Future Development of Hertford’s Sele Ward
Posted on 11/07/2017
Hertford Town Council is organising a Public Consultation on the Sele Neighbourhood Area Plan on Tuesday 18th July at Sele School, starting from 5.30 PM and open until 8.30 PM. The event will take place in the Main Hall and be in the form of an exhibition, with maps and other visual materials that display the development options in the ward.
A Neighbourhood Plan allows communities to decide on the shape of the future developments in their area, to ensure that they positively contribute to the existing community, its facilities and sustainability.
Over the past months a group of volunteers from the Sele Ward have worked under the guidance of Hertford Town Council to gather data, collect evidence and consider options for the future development of their area.
Feedback from the local community is at the heart of the Sele Neighbourhood Area Plan. If you live or work in the Sele Ward, please come to the public consultation on 18th July to discuss the proposals, ask questions and make suggestions on your Neighbourhood Plan.
Hertford Town Council will also have a stall to promote the Sele Neighbourhood Area Plan at the ‘Fun Day’ event organised by Network Homes on Saturday, 22 July at St Andrew’s Primary School, between 12 PM and 4 PM.
Councillor Steve Cousins, Chairman of Sele Neighbourhood Area Plan Working Party said:
"Both these events are important for the continuing development of our Neighbourhood Plan. Our aim is to not only preserve its good points but to ensure that the whole area is a safe, happy and healthy for the foreseeable future. That every aspect is covered for existing and future residents and their children."
