Summer Town Centre Children's Trails

Due to the popularity of the FREE town centre trails which take families on a hunt around Hertford for hidden characters, Hertford Town Council has organised two summer trails for children to enjoy.

The Mythical Creatures trail will start on Wednesday 24th July and run until Friday 16th August.

The Princess and Pirates trail will start on Saturday 17^th August and run until Saturday 7^th September.

The Town Council has joined forces with the Secret Society of Hertford Crafters to bring knitted creatures and characters to the town.

Children can take part in both free trails which will take them on a hunt around the town centre on a search to locate up to twenty knitted hidden princess and pirate dolls and a mixture of mythical creatures including a wizard, goblins, mermaids, dragons, snow queen, fairies, trolls, pixies and Fenix.

The Hertford Town Council organised activity is aimed to encourage visitors to discover new shops within the county town, and shop locally to support the many independent businesses located in Hertford.

On completion of the trails, children will receive a prize or sweet treat from the Town and Tourist Information Centre.

Trail maps can be collected from the Town and Tourist Information Centre, in The Wash, opposite Hertford Theatre. Whilst at the Town and Tourist Information Centre, visitors can purchase a raffle ticket for £1 for a chance to win one of the 20 knitted mythical creatures featured on the trail. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Secret Society of Hertford Crafters for future projects.
