Hertford's first ever jazz festival launches this week
The Hertford Jazz Festival starts this Thursday (12th June).
Hertford Jazz Festival 2025 runs from 12th June to 16th July in venues around Hertford, with performances from top-class bands and singers.
A band is nothing without an audience, and it won't be a festival without you. We've got all kinds of bands playing all kinds of jazz so there's something to suit everyone. Buy your tickets early and save with our early-bird and under-25s discounts.
There'll also be jazz jams, where anyone with a basic grasp of the jazz idiom can join the house band, so bring your instrument, drumsticks or voice and join the groove / fun / chaos.
A jazz workshop will be held in the new performance theatre at BEAM, taught by highly experienced tutors, culminating in a performance by the tutors, open to all.
Hertford Jazz Limited is a non-profit company limited by guarantee, run by volunteers led by Chris Dixon (host of the monthly Hertford Jazz Jam at the Hertford Club) and generously supported by Hertford Town Council's Community Grant programme, local sponsors and venues. After credit card fees and venue or equipment hire where required, all ticket revenue goes to the performers. Any money left in the pot at the end of the festival will be retained for the following year, with a proportion donated to our chosen charity which for 2025 is Parkinsons UK.
