Open Air Cinema

Hertford Castle will be the backdrop to two Open Air Cinema screenings on the castle lawn on Friday 23rd August and Saturday 24th August, organised by Hertford Town Council.


Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will screen on Friday and Grease will screen on the Saturday. Both films were suggested and voted for by the public.

Gates will open at 7pm and the films will start at 8.30pm on both evenings.
Visitors can bring food and beverages to the event or enjoy an array of street food available including Jerk chicken, chicken curry and brown stew as well as smoked pork, chicken, or vegan wraps. In addition, there will be a bar and an ice cream van. Food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the evening.
The cinema at the castle event makes for a spectacular setting where visitors can sit back and relax whilst watching a great film under the stars.
Tickets at to be purchased in advance of the event for £7 and are available from Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre and can be purchase in store or over the phone 01992 584322.
