Hertford welcomes Big Weekend winners

Hertford Town Council welcomed the winners of a free Historic Hertford guided walk last Sunday. The tickets were offered as part of the Herts Big Weekend ballot, which gave residents the chance to win free tickets for attractions and days out in Hertfordshire.

The guided walk took in attractions, including the War Memorial, the Salisbury Arms, Hertford Castle and the site of the original ford, which gives the town its name.

The Town Council offers a range of guided walks throughout the year. Tickets can be purchased via our online shop or in person at the Town & Tourist Information Centre, on The Wash, opposite BEAM. Alternatively, purchase your tickets over the telephone on 01992 584322.
