Hertford is Re-opening for Business

There is a sense of excitement and anticipation around Hertford town centre as businesses and retailers prepare to open their doors on 12th April.

Following the publication of the Government’s roadmap, shops, gyms, beauty salons and other ‘non-essential’ businesses are getting ready to welcome customers back through their doors. Pubs and restaurants around the town are also busy preparing to be able to offer food and drink outside.

Throughout lockdown, some retailers have provided take-away or click-and-collect options. But many are now hopeful that they will be able to re-open their doors on the 12th April and welcome customers back to their shops.

Hertford Town Council are working alongside retailers to keep you informed of opening times, offers and services available, so keep an eye on our social media to see the latest news and offers from the businesses in the town.

“On opening Magpie Amore will be part of the Arts Trail and I will be looking forward to seeing old and new customers. I've missed interacting with customers face to face even at a social distance! Also excited for everyone to see all the new products I've been busy collecting over these last few months. Shop is fully loaded with Magpie's gems!”

Helen and Earl, the owners of Rossi’s Attic said:

“The last 12 months have been very challenging for us, we have missed our customers, dealers and the community very much, but we are positive that this will be a good year. Although we are usually closed on a Monday, we will be open 7 days a week for the month of April, following the lifting of lockdown restrictions. “

“We will also be open on every bank holiday in May & August. “

“We are pleased to announce that we have welcomed 2 new dealers to the shop during lockdown and most of our dealers are supporting the ‘I Love Hertford’ promotion, offering a 5% discount on production of their membership card. “

“We offer a free local delivery for our furniture/larger items and selected items are now on sale.”

“We are proud to display the work of our local artists and are participating in the art trail this year. Most of our dealers are local and by supporting us you support your community. We Look forward to seeing you all again soon.”

Whilst everyone is hopeful that they will be able to re-open on the 12th April, this date is dependent on the Government’s data analysis of the current virus situation. So, we will be keeping a close eye on any Government announcements and will update the website should things change.
