Suitable for hesitant beginners through to more experienced artists, tutors Julie and Sarah will guide you through 5 weeks of classes each - starting with drawing followed by 5 weeks of painting.
You'll work through observational drawing exercises that will open your eyes to new practices - followed by painting that will teach you how to work from limited palettes and experimenting with enjoyable painting techniques.
The course is 25 hours long and divided into two parts: drawing and painting (5 weeks each).
There will be emphasis on observational drawing, with a focus on understanding a variety of artistic techniques. You will develop technical samples from objects and images that inspire you, which you can use in your artistic practice at home.
Throughout the course, you will also be exposed to a wide range of basic art technical terms. You will be provided with a carefully structured framework to follow, as well as scope to experiment with self-directed activities each week.
