This exhibition presents how the artist, Alan Davie, immersed himself in source material about Hopi pottery designs and in a process of complete transformation, created a series of dazzlingly powerful paintings reminiscent of icons, saints and totems.

This Exhibition will run until September 2020.  The Hertford Arts Hub is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 1.00pm-5.00pm and Saturdays 11.00am-3.00pm

The Hertford Arts Hub is excited to have Laura Hudson now in Residence.

Laura Hudson will be working in the Hertford Arts Hub gallery during February and March and hoping to interact with gallery visitors dropping in on Saturdays between 11am and 3pm.  Admission is free.

Visitors can collaborate with Laura on the development of her Archive of Uncertain Things, devised in response to the work of Alan Davie and his use of symbols and signs.

Laura Hudson is a cross-disciplinary artist, curator and writer currently working between drawing and painting.  In 2018, Laura won the student award at Trinity Buoy Wharf (Jerwood) Drawing Prize.
