This short course is suitable for anyone with an interest in gardening irrespective of whether you have your own garden or allotment or simply enjoy learning about horticulture.

You'll develop a good understanding of planting outdoor tubs with seasonal annuals, as well as learning about poisonous and irritant flowers, seasonal availability, plant nomenclature, outdoor patio tubs with seasonal annuals.

You'll also learn about safely disposing of waste materials and compost and the environmental effects, containers, pests and diseases and common garden weeds.

Develop an understanding of garden styles, types of soils and basic pruning.

You'll see how to plan for Autumn interest, learn about jobs specifically for this time, see plants that are suitable and thrive in shade.

See and learn how to plant borders for all year round as well as the best plants and bulbs for spring.
