    Learn about the siege of Hertford Castle, the Tudor palace and much more. Meet Samuel Stone founder of Hartford, Connecticut, Baron Dimsdale, a pioneering doctor and the scientist Alfred Wallace, a contemporary of Charles Darwin.

  • Crime & Punishment Walk

    Discover the darker side of Hertford’s history on this guided walk and hear about witches, murder and highwaymen.

  • Cars at the Castle

    June 3rd 2018 12:00 to 16:00

    The castle lawn will be home to an array of cars for the afternoon, from modern to classics. Visitors will be able to roam around the grounds looking at the vehicles whilst children indulge in fun activities. The Castle will also be open for visitors to explore free of charge.
    Free entry to the public.
