The choir has around 120 members who are drawn from a wide region of East Herts & North London.
Hertford Choral Society in detail…
HCS is a dynamic community choir based in Hertford but drawing its membership from across the county. We don't audition and believe that access to singing should be available to all. At present there are 110 members across the four singing parts: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. We perform four concerts a year with a varying focus - traditional choral as well as newer repertoire. We also share our performances with amazing professional soloists and orchestras bringing superb music to Hertford's doorstep.
HCS is a registered charity - we exist not only to offer singing and other volunteering opportunities to members but also to educate and inform about singing. We offer community events and enjoy taking part in other town activities. As part of our offerings we also have an auditioned chamber choir (the Hertford Chamber Choir).
We are led by our Musical Director, Manvinder Rattan, and have a very talented accompanist in Charlie Penn. Our website is https://www.hertfordchoral.org.uk. Do come along and join us or come to one of our concerts. We'd love to welcome you!
